Bachelor of Science (majored in agrochemistry at Kyoto University), Registered Patent Attorney.
Worked for Takeda Pharmaceutical Co., mostly at the department of intellectual property, for nearly 45 years. Qualified as Registered Patent Attorney in 1973, and studied the European and German Patent Laws at Max Planck Institute of Germany and trained at the European Patent Office from 1978 to 1980, respectively.
